The Walking Dead Comics Are Written By Robert Kirkman. They are black and white comics that feature all your favourite Walking Dead Survivors. They were first published in 2003. At the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International The Walking Dead received a award for Best Continuing Series. It was later that year (2010) that AMC adapted the series into the TV Series "The Walking Dead". The TV Series follows a partially different story line to the comics. Since the TV Series was made there has been more additional media properties like Video Games, Webisodes etc.

The plot is somewhat different in the comics but starts the same with Rick in hospital then finding his family are gone. He then finds a man Glenn who shows him to the camp where he meets his wife Lori and son Carl. Rick joins the group and then Lori finds out she's pregnant not knowing if its Rick's or Shane's. The group collects supplies and other survivors. They move to a farm and then to a prison. After settling in the prison they find out that there's another group of survivors led by a guy called 'The Governor'. They all had troubles with Lori having her baby (Judith) and The Governor attacking the prison and then someone on The Governors side shooting him in the head...
