EZEKIEL AND SHIVA IN SEASON 7 OF THE WALKING DEAD
WHILE The Walking Dead show runner Scott Gimple is remaining tight-lipped about the potential arrival of comic book character Ezekiel, the show's Instagram account may have confirmed it.
The official account for The Walking Dead graphic novels shared an image from the comic book of Ezekiel and his tiger Shiva on their page.
While the post may be a completely innocent tribute to National Pet Day, as it claims in the caption, it has caused speculation that the characters will be arriving in season seven.
A screenshot obtained by a fan reveals that the initial caption for the photo read:
"Don't worry, #WalkingDead show fans. You'll get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva next season."
However it has since been changed to:
"Happy #natinalpetday! Hope you love your pet today as much as Ezekiel loves Shiva.”
A rep from Skybound confirmed to International Business Times that the original Instagram caption in question was made by a staff member with "no concrete knowledge of season seven" but that hasn't stopped the rumours.

Ezekiel is the leader of a community called the Kingdom and was previously a zookeeper, which is how he has Shiva to protect him and speculation about his introduction began after the season six finale.
When Carol made the decision to leave Alexandria after the guilt of killing others finally caught up with her, she was followed by Morgan.
And when she was captured by a member of the Saviors, she begged to be killed but Morgan shot the man to save her.
Carol was left with multiple gunshot wounds and without a doctor. However, the pair encountered two mysterious survivors, who offered to provide them with help.
After the shocking season finale, show runner Scott told ComicBook.com that the men "may or may not have been from the Kingdom”, further fuelling speculation of Ezekiel's arrival.
He added: "We may or may not see the Kingdom. If we do see the Kingdom, it'll be a big reveal and it'll be a new world to inhabit and explore."
